CHALET SUNNESCHY

In the village of Churwalden there are numerous outdoor summer activities:

• A large outdoor heated swimming pool is available just 150 metres below the chalet
• There are also 3 tennis courts for hourly rental just next to the swimming pool

Rodelbahn - the world's longest toboggan run on rails is located in Churwalden. This is an breath-taking run in individual toboggans for 3.1kms and through 31 curves down from the top of the Pradaschier chair lift www.pradaschier.ch

A rope park with a challenging high ropes circuit has recently been constructed high above the village at the top of Pradaschier chairlift

Hiking - the village is surrounded by mountains and there are easy or more strenuous walks in all directions. The chair lifts are open throughout the summer to reach the higher treks & BBQ facilities are available on most routes.

Mountain biking - bikes and helmets can be rented from the sports shop in the village www.seeli.com and taken up the mountains on the chairlifts for exhilarating rides.

Heidsee is a fresh water lake near Lenzerheide which is excellent for sunbathing, swimming and boating. Pedal boats, motor boats & windsurfing boards can all be rented here. There are also children's playground areas with swings, see-saws, climbing bars, table tennis & volley ball.

Mountain hikes. There are numerous hiking opportunities in the Lenzerheide Valbella region. One of the most popular is on the Rothorn the highest local peak which reaches 2950 metres. A chairlift takes passengers to Scharmoin, the middle station from where less arduous walks are possible, such as to the waterfall. A cable car ride takes passengers to the summit from which there are magnificent panoramic views. Seasoned hikers can select various trails down from the peak.

Golf - There is an 18 hole golf course near Lenzerheide www.golf-lenzerheide.ch
